I genuinely believe veganism is an excuse to mask disordered eating (in this case orthorexia). You can be fat or skinny and still have restricting, binging/purging, or obsessions with "healthy eating" (orthorexia).

That's complete bullshit. You cannot isolate all the variables to a point of assuming causation even if you did have a proper representative sample and no other major methodological errors in the research you are not even citing.

It is not healthy, it is a mental illness and a strategy to make socially acceptable rejecting many food groups and eat in a way that minimizes caloric intake, often to the point of harm.
