What are some good meals I can make that are relatively healthy and easy to make? I have access to pretty much every kind of food here (NYC) and I'm getting tired of eggs and chicken. I recently made some (pre packaged) lamb merguez which was pretty great.

Basically, I'm not a total idiot when it comes to cooking but I'm looking for some new basic ideas to experiment with.
