pickled Herring - Traditionally eaten on ryebread

Flounder - batter it in breadcrumbs and fry it on the pan. also usually eaten on ryebread

Anecdotal evidence:

Cage free/cruelty free eggs seem to have a different texture than the cheaper cage eggs ive bought.

Like an earlier anon has mentioned, what the chickens are fed is a big factor with flavor.

Happier hens also tend to be healthier, and it may be that a healthier animal is more likely to have healthier ovaries/follicles, which is the organ that produces the yolk.

Stressed animals release excess corticosterone in their bloodstream and this can have an effect on the reproductive system of an animal.

The above is just based on the limited knowledge I have on animal biology and working with/dissecting captive lizards. Im no chicken or egg expert.

I find it weird that eating wild game is morally wrong to some people.

Standard meats that are factory farmed probably live with more stress and pain than an animal that was taken from the wild with an ethical bullet shot to the brain or heart/lungs.

The only item on your list i would consider 'wrong' to eat is fish caught from the great barrier reef, if it was not allowed.

Meats that should truly be considered controversial are meats from endangered species, meats taken unethically or meats taken illegally.
