I lost my sense of smell and taste because of COVID ... cooking / food was my only hobby, and passion. Wtf do I do now?

Alcoholism is about deficiency, more then it is about dependency.

When you consume alcohol chronically your body basically doesn't retain any vitamins, minerals, or nutrients, you slowly starve your body to death of what it needs to function, this is turn causes organ and brain damage over time.

There's a reason why you need to piss so much when drinking, and shits after a binge fly right out of you. Your body places everything on hold to rid the poison, vital nutrients are put on hold to do this.

A binge once in a while is OK, just don't make it into a habit.
