Grew up eating rice with my hands, still do it when eating at home or with my family.

There's something I feel is missing to the experience if I don't eat Indian food with my hands. It truly feels like an aspect of enjoying the meal along with the visual appeal of the food, the smell, the taste, etc.

The way it feels on your fingers, its heat, the techniques you learn to only use one hand even when ripping naan/roti/dosas etc. It's a world of experience in and of itself.

Also, when you're eating loose grain rice with sauce (like curry), you can't really effectively use chopsticks. It's a spoon/fork or hands for me.

Nobody actually buys tacos from Taco Bell. They're shitty and way overpriced. The only exception is when they come in a $5 box or combo meal (kek), or when there's an LTO $1 taco like now, or they're giving one away as some kind of a promotion. Someone going to Taco Bell and just straight up ordering tacos right off the menu is almost unheard of.
