Any time I've ever gone looking for heavy cream, which isn't altogether that many times, all I find is whipping cream and half and half. Whipping cream is fucked because it usually has thickeners (most often carrageenan), which ruin the texture for me. I usually concede and take the half and half.

Almost every cooking show I watch has plain old heavy cream, no thickeners.

Where the fuck do I get it? Wal-Mart, HEB (my go to), Kroger, Trader Joes and Costco don't have plain heavy cream.

Is it a regional thing? Some time ago, Promised Land dairy offered heavy cream (it was a yellowish label) with no thickeners, but it was outright not available in Texas. The only thing I can think of is that Texas has some weird law preventing heavy cream being sold as "drinking" cream, and as such, it's sold as whipping cream and thickeners are added to it to make it unpalatable as a beverage.

This annoys me because there isn't anything offensive about their logo. I like that they put a cute Indian butter maiden on their labels, it was good marketing and made them stand out from other brands.

The real issue isn't changing the logo on one specific brand of butter, it's more of a macro issue of living in a society that is so eye-rollingly weak willed and pussified that people will remove a perfectly good logo/mascot/whatever over a microscopic number a white and Jewish political activists whining over non-existent racism.
