Trying some Ardbeg Uigeadail right now. I realized peat is fantastic from when I had Lagavulin 16. This Scotch is excellent.

I don't have enough experience with whiskeys that cost above 200€ so I cannot really tell if there is something that is so much better that kavalan would feel like waste of money, but if you are into wine finishes, sooner or later you will have to get to kavalan. It's on another lvl.

Unless you're filthy rich, or the whiskey itself has been aged for 25+ years, there's really no reason to be wasting that much money on whiskey, especially not with 60$ whiskey's like pic related beating out 400-500$ whiskey's in official tasting competitions.
