I'm a surgeon and it's the same in my field, but I don't expect much from anyone. Basically, you have to be a lunatic to do what I do at a high level. And I would have a very short and frustrating career if I expected nurses, support staff, hell even other physicians, to live up to the expectations I set for myself.

Just need to be captain of the ship, have baseline expectations for good work, but don't expect anyone to be a hero.
