tfw can't find good mapo tofu anywhere in southern CA

tfw the closest to "hot" I've found is about the equivalent of those red Cheetos

Not that interesting but
>get home from a long day at work
>decide to reheat some jambalaya for dinner
>add extra cooked rice to make it a bit thicker
>place bowl in microwave that's above the stove
>grab bowl, bowl is too hot, accidently toss bowl and coat myself and half the kitchen with jambalaya

> mother is ill
> father's been dead for a decade
> brother works his ass off to provide (low but manageable) income
> no other family
> I take care for everything in our household
> cooking, cleaning, washing, bill paying, repairing, sewing, you name it, I do it
> also taking care of mother because she cannot do anything on her own
> help her get up, help her wash, help her put on clothing
> help clean after her 'accidents'
> watching her wither away physically and mentally

I'd like to drink here and there but I simply don't dare because I know I'll succumb to it immediately. I watched my friends drink, they've always seemed so cheerful at it. But every time they invite me with them, I pass, unless we meet during daytime, and even then I order tea.
Last drink I had was 2 years ago, a glass of fine aged rum, older than me. It was amazing. But no more. I cannot indulge into anything, for I'll slip and fall way too soon.

I won't encourage you to drink, al/ck/nons. But when you do, take a sip for me, if possible

>Old people forget how debit cards work on a regular basis
Only had this happen once but it was incredibly frustrating
>I don't understand why this is asking for numbers, do I need to type in my card
>Sir if you're using a debit card you have a pin unless it also has a credit option
>This is my only bank card, it's not for credit and I use it everywhere
>Alright but you have to have a PIN number with it for a transaction to go through, like the one you use at an ATM
>I don't know what you're talking about, it doesn't have that. I'm going to type my card's numbers in

He only cashed out after my co-worker asked what his secret card number was

This thread is making me regret the amount of times I've eaten food from trash bins/dumpster diving. I feel really gross and somewhat lucky that I haven't caught any diseases or food poisoning from doing it.

We do but it feels pretty awkward. I feel like my parents are just wired to the idea because they're both from large families that always had someone at home doing the cooking and making a big meal for dinner. They don't actually get along that well either so we always eat in silence or my dad will do something like turn the tv on loudly in the living room or have a scanner going. He'll also flip out on my mother if she makes something he doesn't want to eat or if she prepares dinner with the same item multiple times in one week (like having two meals with mashed potatoes on the side).

I'm not sure if they're aware but I intentionally work a mid shift to avoid these things
