What's with the worship over stainless steel pans? You have to add a bunch of oil to stop it from sticking which clogs your arteries and makes you fat. Nonstick is vastly superior for pancakes, crepes, omelettes, eggs, fish, and ground meat. Cast iron is vastly superior for red meats and forms a fantastic crust and you can form a semi non-stick coat by seasoning it. Stainless is trash.

Tell me about stainless steel pans /ck/. What am I looking for in one? What are some good brands?

Is there a difference between having a aluminum/copper core vs. aluminum/copper base/bottom?

Any particular recommendations? I'm guessing bigger is better as well assuming I make large portions (which I do).

I don't have any proof but I have a notion that stainless steel cookware is the best. Is this true?

1. No chemical non-stick coating that we may find out in 20 years causes your balls to shrink and your sons to be born as girls
2. No aluminum
3. Not heavy as fuck like cast iron

Am I missing something?
