GE absolutely fails at microwaves.
I dont know the failure you speak of, but my GE microwave has a faulty membrane keypad that registers phantom button presses for no reason. This causes it to turn on and run in the middle of the night, or make random beeping sounds. It cannot be left plugged in. It still heats food when it feels like obeying.
And to think this is the same company that makes aircraft engines, medical devices, power generation turbines, and critical infrastructure equipment. They are too incompetent to make a fucking microwave oven.
