From the sounds of it though only half of your problem is the cost of eating out
Your biggest stink seems to be about having to socialize, which you seem to dislike. Do what you want to do anon, but if you already know you aren't going to put in the effort to make small talk (which is a normal human interaction between day to day acquaintances) then don't go bitching about it.
