I messed up. I was boiling some pinto beans on the stove top, forgot about it, and twenty minutes later remembered and ran back to find the water had evaporated and the beans were ruined.

So now the pot is discolored and has these spots in it. What can I do about this? I tried scrubbing it with soap and water and it won't go away. Please help me, what do I do to clean this pot? I feel bad that I made this dumb mistake.
