To make sure I wasn’t overcooking it I gave it a very quick sear both sides, very rare in the middle. Still tastes dry and grainy, is there anything to help this?

in the days when my father was barely surviving midwest winters as a child by sleeping under a mattress in a home with no heat, and my mother would get in heated disputes with her 9 siblings (3 had moved out) over ritz crackers they would find comfort and solice when their mothers would cook liver and onions. when i was living alone in poverty i too cooked, enjoyed and found comfort in liver and onions. we are all better off now, but to this day we enjoy liver and onions, and we sometimes ponder aloud "wonder what the poor people are eating for dinner tonight?" anons who have lived through broke times, what got you through? and do you enjoy liver and onions?

He likes offal and guts and the like and wanted me try it since I like scrapple and haggis. I found it to be way too strong. I think I’d like it I tried it again though.
