when it comes to "casu marzu", which to be fair actually means "rotten cheese", it's a disgusting practice and we all know it, and yet, it's one of those unique tastes that you just can't shake, paired with the idea of eating something that strange. it doesn't kill you, it doesn't get you sick, and it's not something you eat everyday like some morons would like you to believe, it's kind of a delicacy, ironically, and it's usually something you taste after or before a meal. if you're curious about other strange things to eat in sardinia, look for "callu de cabreddu"
