I dunno. My gramma put some heads of garlic in her white rice I think. I don’t season mine unless it’s furikake for nip kids.

Some anon posted a meme pic of a tomato thrown on top of the rice, so that when it’s done the tomato bursts open easy, and gets stirred in and seasoned with the rice. Been meaning to try it. I’m hooked on plain nip style white rice as long as I have pic rel though.

Their tartness adds so much to the blandness of white rice. Love em. Simple as.

You don’t need a protein when you dress the rice with furikake, umeboshi, and seasoned seaweed, but when I do I’ll just fry spam sometimes to make musubi. Egg salad and rice isn’t bad either.

If it’s sticky rice I always eat it with umeboshi, wasabi furikake, and roasted seasoned seaweed. I’m not a weeab but I did live in Japan so that’s why I like it.

I eat nippy rice made with my rice cooker so I use the jap add-ons I got hooked on in Japan, mostly wasabi furikake or other furikake, umeboshi for sure, and seasoned snack seaweed to scoop it up. Soy sauce too.

Well first you need to ditch the shitty plain jappo seaweed. Then you buy the seasoned roasted Korean stuff and use it like a tortilla to scoop your white rice and eat it with umeboshi and furikake. It’s like mother’s milk to the jappos and is not hard to see why.

I like weebing it up with my rice cooker often, but I hate animu and the Japanese people.

Umeboshi the best, I would like to try making tsukemono sometime. Shits overpriced at Asian stores.
