Sweet Red is a beginner red wine. It basically tastes like only slightly bitter grape juice. It's pretty damn sweet. If you want to experiment just buy a moderately priced bottle of whatever you think you want to try. Do some research as you drink it to pick out the flavors and notes and such.

subscribe to bottlenotes or epicurious.com's sip of the day(both free). has notes on lots of different wines and all reasonably priced.

what kinds do you like? red, white, roses? dry, semi-dry, sweet? high or low tannins?

theres so much out there now it can be overwhelming but find styles you like and go from there

also check out the followign like the article isnt that great but the charts are and give you a good idea of whats what
