A little note on setting it down.
The Belgian beer Kwak uses a similar design, and this is how they handle it.

The beer itself may not be the best but the total experience makes it perfect

Piraat is very good
so is Augustijn and Kwak is phenomenal as is Val-Dieu

If you find yourself in Quebec (or any part of Cananda) try Maudite, Trois Pistoles, and Fin de Monde. At this point I actually prefer Fin de Monde to anything Belgian.

order it for someone when they are already pissed and laugh your arse off as they: 1) fail to compensate for the bowl at the bottom and pour ale down their front, and 2) forget to return the glass to the scaffold and try to rest the round-bottom on a table and end up smashing it...
