Not trolling here. What is the big deal over whether chili has beans in it or not? I don't understand. Then again I'm from Cincinnati so I have a pretty open mind about what constitutes chili.

I made chili yesterday. I put it in the fridge overnight after trying a couple bowls and I'm reheating the crock-pot as we speak. It came out pretty good and spicy. Here's the recipe:

Crock-pot Turkey Chili

1.2 lb. ground turkey (93/7, not ground turkey breast)
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 jalapenos, sliced
7 serrano peppers, sliced
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes
2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained (can substitute other beans for 2nd can)
1 Tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Tablespoon ground cumin
1 Tablespoon freeze-dried, minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Brown and drain ground turkey. Mix all ingredients in the crock-pot. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.
