Why is pork skin the only skin we make "rinds" out of?

I've never had pork rinds before. I think I'll buy some when I do the groceries tomorrow. What's your favorite brand?

If your pork scratchings are puffed up like wotsits as seen in this weird yank image then you are clearly a foreigner.

Does anyone have tips on making pork rinds? I have 500g/1.1lb of pork belly skin/fat in my freezer, access to a food dehydrator a pot of oil and various seasonings.

Whats your favourite method /ck/?
I see some people prefer to boil the pork to render the fat whereas others put it I a low heat oven or food dehydrator to dry it out then cut most of the fat away.
