I have this horrible feeling in my head that I've had for years. Whether it came from shitty family guy jokes I heard 10 years ago, or from recent bombardment of fast food tier lists I get angry that I just don't understand food jokes. Maybe I am mentally ill, but when I visit America again I by all means have to visit these stupid food chains that are the butt of every joke in American media (e.g. Denny's, IHOP, dominoes). Where do I visit to net as many fast food chains in my catchment area as possible.

electrifying the cooking systems will reduce the footprint, but not entirely eliminate it, you’re ofc correct. unless the grid is powered by renewables, which berkely plans to do

>>12650955
natural gas from houses makes up 27% of Berkely’s emissions, equivalent to 20 million gallons of gas per year.

berkely also plans on having their grid be powered by 100% renewables by 2035, so electrifying as much as possible beforehand seems smart.

like what >>12651007 and everybody else is saying though, electric stoves can and should be better. right meow they function like microwaves and just go from 0 to 100 over and over at a pace that averages out to your setting.

somebody design a better electric range and take all my money.

These anons are only half right. You're gonna want to heat the pan at the highest setting. Once it's nice and hot, lower the heat to medium-low then immediately put your eggs in the pan. Cover them and in about 3 minutes they're done.

Putting them onto a really hot surface makes them cook really fast and hold their shape, making them nice a thick, instead of spreading out on the pan and getting flat and easy to burn. Covering while they cook will give the yolk a pink color with the yolk nicely cooked but still runny. If runny yolk isn't your thing just leave covered for another 2 minutes on low heat.
