vodka which is azeotropic
apples on the other hand are high in pectin which ferments into methanol so something like apple jack when you add wood sugars from a barrel plus other complex sugars from the mash/wart and tannins all effect you heart rate, liver enzymes, glycemic index which will effect your ability to metabolize ethanol into acetaldehyde
oh and you hydration level is going to be considerably different from a piss water beer to 100proof even if you drink the same amount of overall ethanol
