Northerners are annoying because they are insincere about their bias. They pretend to like people if they even bother to talk to them. Southerners are at least upfront with their racism but they also have a long history of wearing masks and ambushing people in the dark.
Just depends on what you prefer to deal with. Again though, they both can have great and terrible food.
