2013 christmas my sister popped a bunch of oxy and instead of seeing if she was ok or taking her to the doctor mom just went ahead and drove us to our grandma's house as if nothing happened. Sister stayed in a chair barely able to talk or move for close to a day, whenever a family member asked if she was ok my mother would say she was coming down with the flu.

The next year sister upgrades to heroin, decides to spend christmas eve with her boyfriend and his wife. Mom stays in bed and whenever I try to talk to her she cries and says she doesn't understand why my sister can't make the effort to "look normal".
