There's been a lot of trolling itt, but you're right OP. I've been researching this topic for decades at local Renaissance Faires and all evidence indicates that the average POMT (Person of Medieval Times) subsisted primarily on turkey legs and mead served by fat middle-aged women with two "redeeming features" if you know what I mean. It might sound repetitive, but trust me, after a long day of watching jousting tournaments and shopping for dragon bongs, there's nothing that hits the spot quite like a turkey leg and a flagon of mead "with a side of milkers" if you know what I mean. In recent years, my research has become more difficult as the RennFest scene has become corrupted by tumblrinas with pink hair and problem glasses doing tv/movie/vidya/anime cosplay, but at least I can still drown my sorrows in mead and tryptophan while watching my favorite wench Nancy almost fall out of her dress while bussing picnic tables. During most of the year, Nancy is an administrative assistant in the HR department at an insurance company, but during these few fleeting weeks of autumn, we are all transported back to a better, simpler time when women's huge saggy bouncing titties were barely concealed in the taverns where hard-working peasants like us feasted upon turkey legs and mead whilst the jesters danced and bards sang tales of quests and dragons. Sometimes I shed sentimental tears in the blue porta-potties.
