It's evolution. It's called natural selection. The people who destroy themselves wreck their chances for procreation, and even if they have kids, it severely retards their development on a number of vectors from actual congenital damage from the effects of the alcohol in vivo, to the cataclysmic effects of having an alcoholic parent and the downward spiral of the diseased often takes others with them.

But if it makes some of you feel better, you know, after you kill yourselves drinking, it only leaves more resources to those that are more capable, anyway. Unfortunately, the most likely scenario is that you're a deadbeat with liver failure and you won't stop drinking and the taxpayers have to foot the bill, anyway.
