No. It's a long story.
>son developed eczema age 2
>family has always had cats and dogs
>his dad always says it's the cats
>eczema gets worse throughout the years
>some random doc draws blood and gets it tested
>comes back he's severely allergic to several weeds, slightly to cats and dogs
>stubborn me still believes it's not cats
>age 7 son has terribly painful leg
>slight touch and he's in pain, swollen, red
>of course I self diagnose as cellulitis
>ER visit, confirmed cellulitis
>cut leg, hospital for 2 weeks to fight the infection
>during hospital stay my father comes from out of state to help me overhaul the house
>son's father takes our cats
>laminate, out goes carpet; wash, prime and paint all walls, clean everything
To this day I have yet to get a straight answer from his dad about what he did with the cats. He told me he found a foster and once out son's skin cleared, we'd introduce a cat for a week and see how his skin reacts. He told his whole family that when he got home, he took the cats out and left the cage and front door open and they fled. He never told me that. He also told them that the boy was only allergic to cats. I should have looked into blood allergy tests and how they give false positives. He's not allergic to any animals, but is indeed severely allergic to weeds. I was able to get him into an actual allergist for the skin panel.

All of this was for naught, as his father wasn't following doctor's orders to put on steroids and he would just keep using lotion and creams that burned his skin. It took the doc to threaten to call CPS for him to care for his skin correctly. It was a battle and a half with his skin and I was the only one fighting it. Those poor cats, being blamed and not given a chance.
