Hello fellow Grilled Cheese enjoyers.
You're gonna need a loaf of thick cut white bread, butter generously and cut some real sharp cheddar, old is good, but I prefer medium. A pinch of garlic salt on the cheese and a pinch of fine salt on the buttered side of each slice of bread. Medium heat, 2ish mins each side, flip once and compress with spatula, cook longer for a good crunch. Take sandwich off pan and slice diagonally (non-optional) turn off heat, and place the now sliced sandwich back on the pan and cover, the residual heat will give you the PERFECT melt. Add jalapens or a couple slices of deli meat for extra flavor, whatever you like. Enjoi anons.
