I've found I'm totally okay with eating by myself at a restaurant to the point where I actually prefer it. I find it hard and kind of annoying to socialize over a meal. Since the only person you're interacting with is the server who's running around dealing with a dozen other customers, there's actually fewer people paying attention to you.

There's a bar next door to that Denny's where a couple people got shot after what apparently was an argument about the Green Bay Packers.
