A little overdramatic, but not far from the truth..
Blue collar jobs are in high demand, with very few people taking them. Hands-on jobs like welding and oil refinery work can pay an easy 6 figures a year.
Pretty soon, having a plumber fix your sink will cost as much as getting dental work done.

Plenty of jobs. Burgers need flipped. Ditches need diggin.

Its just that everyone is 'too good' to step down off their imaginary high horses and delusions of a 'perfect life' to realize they're not a special snowflake.
They become depressed when they start to slowly realize that the world doesn't give a single shit if they succeed or not.
They screw themselves in the ass with all this school debt, because they've become disillusioned into thinking that having a degree automatically means employment, when at best its a gamble.

Yes.
Serving alcohol to anyone under the 'exact' age of 21 is punishable by fines, jail time, job loss, and the restaurant losing its license to sell alcohol anymore.
Even if its just a couple days.
He wasn't being a dick, he just didn't want to lose his job and get buttfucked in jail.

Is eating at 5 Guys and 'liking' it one of those ironic hipster things i've heard about?
I can't honestly see why people praise this so much.
I've seen Big Macs look better than that shit

Same. Sometimes I'll go till 2-3pm before eating anything, aside from having a cup of coffee before leaving for work.
I've just never been a big breakfast sort of person

I don't get how you can be so fucking fat that you need to stuff your mouth with something as soon as your eyes open.

This little mom & pop coffee shop down in Florida that looked like a lighthouse, and was only open 11am - 2pm. They served apple fritters as big as your fucking head, and these mocha.. frappe.. cream.. whatever the fuck they were that was basically half coffee and half milkshake.
Also the entire place was comfy as fuck. No hipsters, no one wearing a fucking scarf, no one on a laptop.
Just coffee.

>worst
Hanging out with a friend at a Starbucks.
I just ordered a plain black coffee, and the girl behind the counter looked at me like i'd just asked her what color her nipples were.
I heard a couple chuckles behind me.
God fucking forbid you should order coffee at a goddamn coffee shop.
It even tasted like shit, too.

Overpopulation and bad crop management by greedy farmers and politicians with terrible ideas is putting a strain on our resources, which is only going to get worse and worse.
Tinkering with genetics to make crops heartier, bigger and more resistant to new diseases and extreme weather is the only way to
ease this.
..unless you can convince farmers and politicians to stop being so greedy, or the world to stop having children.

I'm interesting to hear any unbiased, science based arguments you have that aren't pure alarmist propaganda based on the usual 'hurrrr science is baaad!' view from new wave food hipsters and the liberal extremist left.

Atheists are only slightly less annoying than feminists and liberals, though christians levels of annoyance varies state by state, tending to get worse the further south you go.
(generally stopping slightly above florida)
Mormons bug me, but they're just so polite and friendly all the time I have trouble hating on them.
Wiccans tend to be old women and fat, ugly bitches who want to transform into something else.
Satanism tends to lose its charm outside of high school.

I try to keep an open mind though.

I love the people who freak out about laying their 'new' clothes on the conveyor, like they're gonna get any dirtier than the sweaty, multi-rolled landwhale that tried to squeeze into those pants just a few hours earlier.

I really.. REALLY hope people wash their clothing when they get home instead of just hanging it in the closet.
You never know what sort of fat, nasty fuck has tried to squeeze thier oily tits into that shirt

Even more reasons I've been holding off on the college thing for so long.
I would like to go, eventually, just to further my education and give myself more elbow room in job opportunities, but i'm still working off a credit card bill at the moment.
I only want to deal with one debt at a time.
This is where so many of my friends have gotten fucked over. They get all these credit cards and loans, and somehow forget that the bank basically owns your ass and will keep nickel and dime-ing your shit until its payed off.

The trick is to never owe more than one person/company anything.
Take the debts one at a time. Then 'after' that debt is settled, take another loan if you need it.
I think a lot of peoples' problems is that they surround themselves in debt, ignoring the interest and fees, and can't get back out or continue eating out every day and even paying bills without borrowing more.
One card, one bank, one debt at a time. Any more is just bending over and spreading your cheeks.

>order a cup of steaming, near-boiling coffee or tea
>spend the next 10 minutes blowing it and trying to cool it down
Why do people do this? Is it a cultural thing, or just something Americans do?
Why don't restaurants give people the option of a cup of coffee that isn't scalding?
I've heard of some Japanese teahouses that wait until the tea is the 'ideal temperature' before serving.
I think that would be fucking awesome.

Warm or hot water melts the fats and oils, making it easier for the chemicals in the detergent to pull it away from your dishes, effectively letting you use less dishsoap to get things clean than using cold water.

Cold water works, but its very inefficient.
Also the gas needed to fill a sinkfull of hot water is negligable compared to the gallons and gallons used when your roomate (hopefully) takes a shower.

I shit you not. It was like a bad fucking joke. Also, the best part was that little part at the bottom that let you explain why. They'd always write in 'Will explain at interview'

And here people still say pre-screening and genetic preventative measures in the womb are a 'bad' thing.

This isn't against you personally, OP. You're probably a really awesome guy.
Its just bullshit that you've gotta live with this sort of condition when it could've been easily prevented before you were even fully formed.
You could've been born from a different, healthier sperm, without any defects.

But noooooo, our society still says its 'evil', and that its better to let people limp along and suffer.
I'll never understand it.

After rent and bills, I usually have around $60 - $70 for food per month.
Lots of chicken, pasta, rice n beans, ramen, and canned things.
I never go hungry, and I sure as fuck aren't gonna turn into one of those food stamp people.
I don't have mountains of food stocked up, but I never go without anything.
I usually have enough left over out of that to treat myself to a 'taco shit day', where I glut myself on taco salad all day long.

My mom taught me how to make my dollars stretch. Lots of soups and things from scratch. Cheap shit that lasts a few days.
I don't buy booze or chips or snacks or shit like that.
I hardly ever eat out.

Its not that hard to make your money stretch. You just gotta shop smart and not blow it on retarded shit.

In america, if you're poor enough or have a child, the government will give you free money every month for food, depending on how much you make.
If you're REALLY poor or black or strung out on enough drugs, they give you 'cash assistance' , which is basically free money on top of the money they already get for food

I never knew /ck/ was so full of angry fatties.
Holy fuck.
Everyone just relax. No ones taking your burgers away from you.
We're just tyring to tell you that its really unhealthy gorge yourself and to feel 'full' after every meal.

Think of your stomach as like a.. furnace.
It needs to be fed all day, but not too much or too little.
If you keep stuffing it full of shit, it'll have trouble burning, and you get groggy and feel like shit.
Same if you starve yourself.

It doesn't matter 'what' you eat, its more a matter of portions.
Which are grossly fucked up these days.
