Chicken breast needs to be heavily seasoned. It is great in very rich dishes where the gaminess of thighs would diminish it. Think leeks sauteed in a block of butter with one and a half tablespoons of thyme and rosemary. Or any other aromatics heavily spiced and seasoned. Chicken tortilla soup made well with lime is very good shredded this way. I will braise the them very well and then shred them into large pieces a little over halfway. For Indian dishes cubed breast can be better both texture and flavor wise.

I don't drive and have back pain that can be pretty ruthless. I am fortunate enough to live literally a block from my local grocer and a drug store. Then there are a lot of restaurants I can walk to, which I enjoy. I started ordering from food apps as it really made life easier when I couldn't get myself out to the store. After a while I started learning to cook my favorite foods from takeout and now I find most of it boring subpar recipes. Almost all of it was making me sick as it is loaded with what fat people want to feel hit their endocrine system.

I'm switching it all out for grocery delivery. I can't go to the market each day but I can have groceries delivered in bulk and not have to worry about it anymore. After that delivery apps are still a godsend for me as I know I have them if I need them. Other than that I dislike the price for the quality. With the eat the bugs meme being a real thing I'm moving completely away from anything processed. From here on nothing but whole foods prepped by me.

On one hand, the modern convenience is glorious. On the other hand it is a costly pipeline to garbage product. One step forward, two steps backwards.

I want to make a chicken stew with what's left in the pantry but I'm not sure what to use for herbs/spices. I have carrots and potatoes but I also have a bunch of bell peppers I need to use up. What's a good combo for this?

If you are /fit/ then this isn't a problem. You should be getting a little bigger over the winter season. It's the literal time for it and you can just wolf down delicious sloppas with loafs of good bread.

Keema Matar with a pound of beef and a pound of italian sausage will last me almost a week. I add golden potatoes and carrots which makes the batch huge. Cook it all up in a big wok. Friends of mine try to get me to make it all the time because I got this dish down. I eat it with basmati rice all week. Highly recommend this dish w/ the sausage.

Also do a billion types of stews. Then I'll buy a really good whole loaf of bread or if lazy just whatever sliced I got around to sop it up all week. Beef, pork, chicken, and then ofc different kinds of chili. I make a really good butter chicken but I go full on fat kid and no matter how big the batch it's gone in a two days tops.

My favorite "fuck this I'm tired" recipe is just chicken breast with some potatoes, carrots, onions, and a bottle of salad dressing in the pressure cooker. Italian dressing is the easiest choice if you want to try it. Throw that sloppa on some rice and you're good to go.

I came here to find some new ideas but you fags keep sperging out about general housekeeping and being a laborer or what the fuck ever. Give me a fucking pulled pork recipe or something dickheads.

Break down your shopping into protein (pb, eggs, meats, fish), carbs (pasta, bread, flour), veg, herbs/spices, and grocery (soap etc). Then bookmark the ad pages of every store within range. Every week pop open the ads and see what the sales are. Over time you will get a sense of the real price of foods and what is a deal to spend on.

Some tips:

>Buy in bulk at the lowest price then shop for smaller amounts as you go
>find the discount aisles in each store you visit, they all have at least one area
>Immigrant markets are your FRIEND. Find where they are and get their ads.
>You can buy some food and toiletries online cheaper, and at higher quality (e.g., bulk bags of good rice, paper, etc)
>If you have the room freeze your on-sale protein and get your veg fresh
>Potatoes, onions, and carrots sell dirt cheap in bulk bags. Learn to cook with these.
>Rice is a staple and there are a thousand ways to eat it
>Learn recipes that stretch out proteins with vegetables, rice, and pastas
>search for deals on herbs and spices like a thirsty simp and over a long period of time you will build a formidable spice collection
>Buddy up with the deli and butcher personnel and they will hook you up
