Pic related is one of the best buys in American cider IMHO.

But yeah, homebrewing is great and should be encouraged. Store-bought cider (even pasteurized) and yeast is all it takes to get started, though it takes a bit more to resemble the commercial stuff.

A lot of mass-produced "cider" in both USA and UK is adulterated with glucose syrup.

If you're in USA, look for pic related. You get traditional dry cider plus a few actually decent flavored ones (ginger and hopped).
