How do I go about getting a raise in this fucking industry?

Currently an Expo/Line cook but more an expo than anything else. I helped open up the restaurant I am working at now and was trying to get the KM job but a server turned GM Ass kisser got it instead and now he thinks he is big shit in the Kitchen.

It's down to me leaving soon and going to a different city or them ponying up and paying me more.

Here let me make this simple:

The way eggs are processed in the US, protective layers are removed from the exterior of the egg for the sake of 'cleaning'. Because of this, eggs will spoil if not kept refrigerated here.

Where as eggs in many other countries do not undergo the same process, still have this protection on the outside, and can sit at room temperature for many days on end without consequence.

tl;dr: eggs from different places require different things.
