I got really excited when I found they made a barleywine and was immediately let down when they added so much fucking vanilla to it you couldnt taste anything else

>Beer has been declining since the 60s, and seltzer is acceletating that.
>Just the idea of breweries basically just making IPAs + seltzers is horrifying. I'd drink exclusively Budweiser and Coors Banquet if that were to happen.
But it won't die. Breweries will adapt. Some won't and will die. That sucks, especially if they made good beer. But you're kidding yourself if you think beer is going to go without an audience anytime soon. I've had a couple open up quite recently near me and they exclusively focus on lager and farmhouse ales, and they're doing great.

If you're so worried about not being able to buy beer you like, learn to brew your own. Beer is immortal.

>Backwoods is so hit or miss. One year it's phenomenal the next it's just a bourbon bomb
I have noticed that the quality has completely plummeted since they've switched it to year round production. The only bat SN trip in the woods is this god awful tequila barrel aged version of their Otra Vez gose. Everything else is great.

When I was in college the local bottle shop inexplicably had cases of their belgian pale ale on sale for $12. I made off like a fucking bandit that day.

7/10 haul anon. That rochefort is going to be the highlight of it. Breakfast stout is reliably tasty; won't have the stopping power of the BA variants, but it's still a classic. Troegs makes pretty solid IPAs; first cut isn't a bad introduction to them. Lagunitas is fairly dull but they've got a decent brew here and there.
