A long cable is only going ruin your roast if you're struggling with temp. Try the cardboard box trick or something similar. Force your roaster to recycle hot air.

Any other pics you need? I just wrapped some screen around the roast chamber. Keeps my beens from spilling out, blows chaff up and away, and when I have to roast inside I'll just binder clip the top closed.
