What is your favorite topping combination on a pizza? I'm getting delivery tonight, and I'm feeling adventurous.

This has been bothering me for years.

Why is it that there seem to be two different kinds of pizzas? The first kind is the slightly thicker kind with white, maybe yellow-white cheese that is always easy to bite through (except when it's really hot) and typically tastes delicious. The second kind is thinner and, while it can be crispy and tasty, is often instead droopy and has orange-ish, greasy cheese that always - FUCKING ALWAYS - stretches out with every bite you take and threatens to fall or peel off.

I personally prefer the first kind, but it's always harder to find. What is the difference (I'm assuming it's the cheese like an idiot would.), and why is the kind I like so much rarer in almost all the pizzerias?

/ck/, I need your help. I need a job and I'm desperate.

I'm gonna go apply for a job at a pizza place. The ad says I'm going to be tested on the spot on how to make a NY pizza.

I've made pizza before (at home) and yeah it was shit but I really need a job. I figure if the Mexicans at my favorite pizzeria can do it, so can I (I'm Mexican myself).

Any clues as to what they'll be expecting me to do? I can't toss pizza dough in the air if that's what they're talking about. I figure I'm fucked either way but I have to try. Any tips that would make me look like less of a moron would be appreciated.

I didn't know /ck/ existed until I just now looked with hope someone could help me

I like making pizza. Frozen pizzas are ok I guess but occasionally I'll get the urge to make a home-made pizza. Problem is, our oven is really shitty. Like, the edges and toppings will be near burnt but the center will still be doughy. Recently, however, we got this really cool grill, and I got the idea to try cooking pizza in that.

Is this a good idea? Are there any tips, advice, or warnings I should know about before attempting this?

Hello /ck/, I'd post this on a /job/ board if there was such a thing, but you guys'll have to do I guess. I'm pretty much what you'd expect from your average 4chan visitor; I graduated (almost flunked) highschool about two years ago and have been unemployed ever since. Now I'm running out of money and considering looking for a job. Coincidentally, the pizza restaurant right across the street from where I live is looking for a new "sit there and take the orders"-guy since the girlfriend of one of the two brothers who run the place has recently become pregnant and won't be able to work anymore in a few weeks. Now, I don't have a driver's license so I can't deliver and as I mentioned my grades were less than great, but I'm pretty well-acquainted with the entire staff, using first names, telling jokes whenever I order something etc., so do you reckon I have a shot at getting the job?
