What the hell "unapologetic food" it's supposed to mean? I don't understand this american shit.

>About half a stick of unsalted butter
>3 raw egg yolks
>2 or 3 teaspoons of sugar
>Quarter or half a teaspoon of cinnamon
>Pinch of salt

>Whipped cream on top

So throughout this year I've realised I love cooking. I'm not a gourmet but I just love making my own food, figuring out how everything goes together and mastering the techniques. My go-to dishes are homemade pizza, simple pastas, stir fry noodles and fried rice.

These dishes get the job done but I want to actually hone my skills a bit more. What dishes would you recommend to a beginner that wants to improve?

started my chef's apprenticeship today. Government gave me a work expenses loan for equipment. What knives are the best for an amateur such as I? I don't want to buy some Japanese samurai knives for 8k since I will probs ruin em with my lack of experience but I also don't want trash. I could be wrong and knives like that could be a good investment but my knife skills leave to be desired.
Need some suggestions.
