My girlfriend and I went to Kew Gardens on a day out, at lunch we went over to one of the restaurants.
The way service was handled was a literal weird and the place was obviously marketing itself as higher end bistro. Basically just burgers or a whole chicken.
I got a cheeseburger and my girlfriend, who's vegetarian, got the celeriac burger. We were expecting it to be mashed and made into a patty and fried or something, similar to pic related.
Instead, it was literally a slice of celeriac that had been deep fried in the greasiest batter I've ever had. Biting into it, as soon as you bit through the greasy outside, a combination of oil and hot water would run into your mouth, and the celeriac still had some bite to it and tasted like literal anus.
She ended up eating half and swapping the rest for my chips, I persevered because I'm a waste not want not retard, but do NOT get the celeriac burger if you go to Kew Gardens.
