There are two kinds of people.

Ones who don't like to waste food, so whenever they have some fresh bread, and some slightly older bread, they choose to eat the older bread, before it goes moldy. It doesn't taste as good as the fresh bread, but they've already paid for it, so they're not gonna just throw it in the trash. But by the time they finish eating the old bread, the fresh one also becomes old. They never get to eat fresh bread, unlike the other group of people, who'd rather just eat the fresh bread and throw out the old one.
