You can cut it into thin slices and sprinkle it on the juicy interior or into large chunks and eat it like an apple. I would only do it with flavorful tomatoes/home grown ones though. Some out of season "water bomb" tomato would be horrible, like eating salty water. But a nice ripe tomato and a little salt DAMN.
