I was in another thread were anon was talking about whiskey sours, and I'd realized I don't think I'd ever had a whiskey sour. I saw this shelf stable lemon juice for $3 and remembered that I wanted to try one, and instantly regretted the purchase. Fortunately I held back buying the simple syrup from the same brand; I'm lazy and bad with money, but not to the point where I can't boil water and sugar myself. I also wanted to buy some marachino cherries just because, but the only brand they had was Luxardo, which are like $20 for a tiny jar. It's nice that we have access to nice things, but what is the world coming to when that's your only option?
