I was browsing /ck/ as I often do in my down time when I noticed a thread about this guy right here. Okay, so call me crazy but can someone tell me why this man gets so much hate? I mean okay I get it, any person who enters the digital online space opens themselves up to criticism, I don’t dispute that’s at all, but just why? Adam works so so hard, you can really tell in his content as the quality is so consistently high, his media degree really payed off for him in the end. and yet still people still choose to “throw shade” I mean what gives? You can’t imagine what it must be like for him with juggling kids and his wife all while trying to entertain people with interesting and engaging food content. He really is the Alton brown for a new generation and he’s gotten lots of fan messages saying just that. People say his sponsorships are “heavy handed” I see no problem with this. Square space and hello fresh are great companies that pay really well and it’s integrated into the content in a “low key” way that’s not distracting at all. If I was Ragusea I would just think “wow man, I put out all this work and still some basement incels still have to hold so much hate for me in their heart? I mean what the heck?

So why does this guy get so much hate? He tries to give folks readily accessible recipes with a bit of quirky humor thrown in. Yeah, his food origin videos are a little politically biased, but when you ignore the liberal ideologies and focus on the food related content, they are pretty informative.

You haters can fuck off. He's a genuinely based man with Italian roots who works hard for what he has. His family is adorable, and he actually makes quality vids about subjects that you normally wouldn't expect (cactus juice, anyone?). Even when he shills for his sponsors, he does it in a way where you can't help but smile before skipping over that part of the video. His videos got me into cooking, which in turn made coping with my depression that much easier.

Adam basically saved my life. Fuck you neckbeards who can't make food as based as he does.
