I'm going over to my friends place for the Super Bowl later today. He's making pulled pork. What's a good, simple side that I could bring or make to accompany pulled pork?

is marinating the pork for a day to make pulled pork a good idea?
i have been doing this because i use cheap pork, which is really tough and i'm using to marinating it
it does tenderize it quite a bit and it retains some of the flavor but i have been looking up recipes to see it i can make it better and everyone just makes a dry rub instead
