why do people do (insert stupid thing), it's bad for you, so why do they do it?

that's what people do. why do people smoke, or drink a bunch of booze, or smoke a bunch of weed? because they want to, and they don't have the ability or willpower to stop, and/or they convince themselves it's not a problem. Ordering some 15 dollar latte on doordash is the same. They want it, they order it, no thought about it, that's just what they do based on their impulse
