You can take a nice aged whisky, TELL someone it has notes of butterscotch, then tell someone else it tastes like a fucking donut, and both of them will go "oh yeah, i can taste it!". Why? Those broader flavors carry a lot of your own personal interpretation and you can be primed to think it's an earthy yet fruity drink with notes of some exotic wood like a good little npc. The drinks have varying levels of basic flavors and most people cant pick up the real subtle differences without having the talent for it and spending their lives drinking.

OP wrap it in bacon, something fatty but not so fatty that it won't have time to render down, sear in a hot cast iron pan/ heavy bottomed, oven proof vessel , flip and stick in 450 oven until rare med-rare. All steak doneness bullshit aside, the point of filet mignon is it's very very tender, but it quickly becomes stringy after medium rare, medium at most.
