That's not how it works.
In men, where endogenous estrogen is low, phytoestrogens weakly bind otherwise empty receptors contributing a feminizing effect.
In females where estrogen levels are higher, phytoestrogen decreases the feminizing effects of estrogen because it can displace stronger binding estrogen. Hence why it can disrupt periods occasionally.
