Enjoy! Always nice to help out a Polishbro!
Remember to read proper instructions for how to prepare mussels first.

If they are open before cooking or have "lips" hanging out, thats totally okay for example. You have to knock them onto something and if they close, they are still alive. Closed mussels are generally usable, but not eatable if they stay closed after cooking. I would suggest putting them in a big bowl with cold water (add some salt) and let them stand around for 1 hour. They will mostly open up a bit and release potentially brackish sea water and dirt that could ruin the taste. Some cooks like to leave the sea water in for the taste, but I don't, because it can taste bad or cause food poisoning or contain dirt.
