parsnips are horrible. they're like the retarded love child of a carrot, a moldy potato, and a 10,000 year old flaccid turnip. i will never understand a parsnip. that said, i'm sorry you are unable to locate one. perhaps the market has spoken. perhaps some terrible amalgamation of big agribusiness and an increasingly oligarchic and consolidated national grocery industry has banished them. maybe grown your own? i have to think that anything so horrid tasting must be relatively easy to grow. i can think of no other reason for its existence.

you need no special tools. baking bread is great, and even if you fuck something up it's not like you overcooked a $45 piece of meat or anything. i learned to bake by taking a job as a bread baker so that's how i learned. i'm sure there's tons of good books Anons can recommend though.

bread machines make horrid bread and the one task they really save you from is the kneading, and shaping, which is the most fun part. but baking your own bread is a super good idea, particularly if you're a NEET and have lots of time to dick around in your home

i enjoy them a lot. hot but not too spicy. i find it really enjoyable but i get diarrhea the next morning guaranteed. i guess it's easier to train your mouth than your anus?

it's a little strange, but i feel like more importantly, it is a needless cause of angst for you. i find eating alone in public really enjoyable--you can just eat your food and people watch and take in the scene. it's one of life's small pleasures. if you're interested in kicking this odd tick, just remember that nobody gives a single solitary fuck about you when you're out in public minding your own business. nobody notices, nobody has a thought about a person eating alone, nobody cares. why would they?
