There's no good cure. I've had an unchristian amount of hangovers and they don't stop coming. Sometimes you luck out and your body is able to deal with the hangover once you get some food in you, other times you'll be bedridden all day. That said, here are some tips and tricks from my personal experiences:
>Drink electrolytes
A lot of people tell you to drink water, but if you're really dehydrated it won't help. Chug a Gatorade or some coconut water before you go to sleep. If you didn't do that, it also helps the next day, but not as much.
>Eat
If you're not so hungover that you can't eat, you should eat as soon as you can. The body needs something to work with to get you back to your senses. The whole grease and salt thing is a myth, it's just easier to eat something that tastes good. Anything will work.
>Magnesium
A couple of magnesium pills, ideally before bed, seems to have a moderate effect.
>Take a walk
This one is hard to do when you're feeling real bad but moving your body always seems to take the worst edge of. The few times I've gone to the gym while hungover, it's gone away by the time I'm done.
>Drink more
This is not as foolproof as some claim. In my experience its most helpful for the headache based hangovers. If I'm feeling nauseous, more alcohol just makes it worse. If you're going to drink though, try to achieve a decent buzz but don't go beyond.

As for the topic I eat nothing but guilty pleasures. I'm just so lazy I can only be bothered eating once a day mostly, so I go all out on that meal and eat like a slob.

Unhappy skellington reporting in.
Once mail arrives I'm going out to get 2x steakhouse burgers, large fries, large soda, 8 chili cheese tops and probably a couple of cheeseburgers. Oh and 2 dip sauces.

We haven't been back since. I don't think we ever will, they think that event tarnished the place for us. Kill me.
