Apart from bait posts, I doubt anyone would object to saying drink what you like. It's just fun to talk about whiskey and share recommendations and experiences with different ones. I haven't had JW Blue but based on what OP said, I would recommend what I've experienced that matches it I feel.

Monkey Shoulder isnt cheap where I live and I personally didn't find it as good as I was expecting based on numerous recommendations for a nice sweet cheap whisky. For me on a nice sweet whisky with a touch of smoke, I'd go with Dalwhinnie. Nearly finished it and have to get another one soon

I normally like to keep try new whiskies and keep a mental note of good brands. When I finish one, I don't typically buy it again and will get a different one.

However the Glendronach 12 is gonna be the first one I replace. Hope I'm not over hyping it but it will be my go to drink and my gift to friends for the time being since they haven't heard of it before
